About the Owners
Jessica Schwickrath...

It was only after graduating college with a degree in
Elementary Education that I realized that I was meant to
spend my days with dogs.
While substitute teaching , I also had a part time job working
at The Center For Animal Health and Welfare, formally the
Northampton County SPCA in Easton, PA.
At one point in my life, my husband and I took care of eight
dogs all living under one roof, for a period of four years.
I knew my love for dogs was strong at that time, but working
at the SPCA only made my love grow stronger. I soon became
the Canine Manager. I worked at the SPCA for almost 2 years,
learning more than I could have ever hoped for about dog
behavior and their overall well being. I loved every minute of
my very stressful, yet very rewarding position, and only gave it
up to follow my dream of owning my own Dog Daycare ;)
I look forward to loving up and playing with dogs every day for
the rest of my extremely blessed life.

Anthony Schwickrath...

After receiving my Bachelor's Degree from
Rutgers University, my wife and I began to
fulfill our dream of owning our own dog day
care. We have always loved being around
dogs. As Jessica noted,  I actually grew up
in a dog house:). While pursuing my
Master's Degree, we began renovating our
dog day care facility. Renovations were
painful, but they are coming along great.

I am a certified dog trainer, and work
full-time for a  major financial firm. Even
though I may not be able to be at the
facility as often as Jessica, I still look
forward to meeting you and your dog:)

Hi everybody,
My name is Marcus! You  see my cute little mug on every page
because I am the Furry Tail Mascot. I welcome new friends every
day to my mom's awesome doggie daycare!
My mom says that I am one of  the best things that has ever
happened to her....little does she know that it's the other way
around.
You see, my first owners dropped me off at The Center for Animal
Health and Welfare shelter and never came back. I was there
waiting for a home for six months before my mom..who happened
to be the dog manager decided that enough was enough.
Even though she already had my brothers Shady and Clay and
sister Kacey, she said..."ah..what's one more" and she and my dad
have been lovin' me ever since.
Mom says shelter dogs are the best dogs!
I agree!
XOXO Marcus W. Schwickrath
Danny Schwickrath...Site Manager
My name is Daniel Schwickrath. I am a graduate from
Middlesex County College in New Jersey, for Hotel
Management and am working for a Doggie Hotel in a sense
.

I was born and raised around dogs all my life. I remember
the looks on some classmates’ faces when I would mention
that I had NINE dogs. Specifically speaking, my dog Logan, a
110 pound boxer, was my pride and joy up until his passing
in May of 2009 at 5 years of age, from cancer no less. Within
3 weeks I watched him deteriorate and had to put him down. I
never thought I could have another furry pal until Nessie
(Thank you Jessica for the name, yes that IS a TWILIGHT
REFERENCE for those in the know), a 5 pound Chihuahua,
came into my life while installing tile last summer at the
daycare.

Now I say I have over hundreds of dogs while working for my
sister-in-law and my brother here at A Furry Tail Come True.
All in all I plan to use my experience with dogs and my
education of Hotel Management to provide a fun-filled and
easy-going ride for both you and your pets because, what’s
that saying again, Oh yeah, “IT’S A DOG’S LIFE!!!”

Also I spend most of my time helping my brother out with the
improvements and renovations at the daycare, including our
awesome newly turfed big yard and the expansion of the
small dog area. They (Anthony, Jessica and the dogs) truly
work me to the bone  but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
